Wheel Sizes for Van Steel Offset Trailing Arms/Rear Coilovers
- 15” - 17” wheels must use a shortened spring, .5 - 1” per side.
- The leaf spring will fit inside the wheel hoop of 18” and larger wheels.
- Custom offset sway bar needed for more than 4.5" rear backspacing (63-79 only).
- Stock tire height is 27” tall. Some ideal tire sizes 15”-17”may no longer be available.
Check your tire supplier before ordering wheels & tires. Below are some known available tire sizes.
C2 - 1963-1967
Mid-year Corvettes can be a tight fit, we recommend checking fitmet before ordering wheels. Body may need to be reshimmed for 9" width rear wheels/tires. Wheels with 6" backspacing may need a small spacer and seems to vary from car to car.
Front:
- 7" wheel - 4.25" or 4" backspacing
- 225/65/15 | 225/55/17 | 225/50/18
Rear:
- 8" wheel - 5" backspacing
- 8.5" wheel - 5.5" backspacing (preferred size)
- 9" wheel - 6" backspacing (must check fitment)
- 255/60/15 | 255/50.17 | 255/45/18
