This price is for Van Steel to rebuild YOUR differential. Once torn down, the differential is cleaned in our solvent tank, shot peened, primed and painted. All new bearings, seals, races, clutches, gasket, Lucas fluid and GM additive are part of the rebuild. You can send your diff in with the cover and we will clean and paint it at no additional cost. The differential MUST BE DRAINED before you send it in. The last guy that didn't was out 3 months waiting for the shipping company to deliver it. Includes a copy of our spec sheet showing gear pattern and other info pertaining to your rebuild. Side yokes and new gears are additional. Include the side yokes when shipping the differential to us so we can 1. inspect them and 2. shim the posi clutches for them. They will be cleaned and painted.

With 1963-64 differentials, we have to add a new posi b/c clutches are not available for those years. So we're forced to go with a new 1963-79 Eaton posi unit. We still tear them down and replace them with steel clutches. We do not use carbon clutches.
