We like French Locks better than lock washers b/c vibrations can loosen up lock washers. We see it often on track and street conditions are worse than track conditions. We recommend putting grease or anti-seize on either side of the French Lock where the bolt passes through to help prevent the lock from twisting when torquing to 70 ft/lbs. Don't forget to bend the tabs up.
