1997-13 Hub Bearing Bolt Kit

• 12 Point Flange Bolts
• Twin-Lock Washers
• Replaces Lower Ball Joint Nut  

The 12 Point Flange Bolts replace the factory bolts that hold the bearing to knuckle. Twin-Locks are provided for all 3 bolts as well. The bottom bolt can be a bit cumbersome when trying to install the replacement lower ball joint nut and twin-lock. Lifting the knuckle and threading the nut works best.

What are Twin-Locks and what do they do.

• Function: Prevents bolted connections from loosening under vibration or dynamic load.
• Mechanism: Consists of two flat washers glued together, with one side having cams and the other radial teeth. When the fastener is tightened, the teeth grip the bearing surface, and the cams' angle is designed to prevent the bolt from loosening.
• Advantages: Highly effective against vibration, works on both dry and lubricated surfaces, and is reusable without losing function
