The kit includes power steering conversion box, power steering hoses, steering universal joint and a new power steering pump, brackets and pulley. All major components needed for complete power steering conversion are included in this kit. The power steering box is built and checked in the USA from worldwide sourced components for smooth performance. This conversion restores or improves your Corvette power steering operation for comfortable driving. The kit includes 3 year warranty coverage on major components for protection and peace of mind.

Van Steel does not supply a rag joints in our kits. We're suppling a steering universal joint.  We've tested both and the universal joint is FAR superior to the rag joint. Keep that in mind when comparing pricing.

  • Early Cars (1963-66) use a 3/4" - 36 Spline x 18mm Double D
  • Late Cars (1967-82) use a 1" - 48 Spline x 18mm Double D

NOTES: This kit does NOT include a power steering pump belt. For some applications, an add-on power steering crank pulley is required.

  • Input Shaft: 18mm DD, 18mm Round shaft with two flat sides
  • Pitman Shaft: 1-1/8" GM with 32 Splines and 4 Master Splines
  • Pressure Port: M18 X 1.5 O-Ring or 11/16"-18 Flare, if using included flare inserts
  • Return Port: M16 X 1.5 O-Ring or 5/8"-18 Flare, if using included flare inserts (closest to steering column)
  • Maximum Pressure: 1450 PSI Maximum Operating Pressure, 1100-1250 Optimal
  • Flow Rate: 2.5-3.0 GPM Flow Rate Recommended
